![]() Celtic Woman $18.98 Average video quality. Great Audio quality. Camera shots are poor at best. Set design is impressive. The songs are performed excellently. These women can sing! The entire DVD is pretty good from start to finish. The video could have been better if the video producer would not have been a rock star wanna-be! Too many cross fades, too many bright lights in the eyes transitions. The video producer of this video clearly got this all wrong. If you like Celtic music, this is a god DVD. But, the Slane castle DVD is by far, much better as far as the video quality and video content is concerned. If you can only afford one video, buy "A New Journey" Slane Castle video. You will not be disappointed. ![]() A New Journey $18.98 I alredy love Celtic music, without a doubt, and although I'm not always a huge fan of modern interpretations of it, I am a fan of David Downes's arrangements. He always has really nice harmonies, and he write for the people that are performing it. At least, it sounds like it. :) The ladies performing do a wonderful job, too. Mairead is always inspirational. She's just fantastic! Lisa Kelly is a fabulous singer, and so are the others, Hayley, Chloe, Orla and Meav, who has recently become my favorite. I switch around a lot. :) It kind of depends on my mood. Meav is just fantastic on Dulaman. What an incredible range! Anyway, it's wonderful music for people who like Celtic music or just new music in general. Some of the stuff would fit right in a musical. There's really something for anybody who loves vocal music. That's it in a nutshell. ![]() Celtic Woman $11.94 I have in my possession the Celtic Woman audio CD for awhile, but only recently purchased the DVD. I remember the emotion that came over me listening to the music two years ago while watching the tele, and me literally taken over by their music. The girls sing with all their heart and they are very talented. Songs that particularly struck a chord with me are 'New Grange', 'Granuailes Dance', 'Dulamann', 'Carrickfergus' and 'The Voice'. I have only a sliver of Ulster-Scot ancestry in me but this album was all that it took to bring it out in a mighty roar or just the soul of someone who knows good music when he hears it. If you cherish Irish culture as I do and appreciate songs of passion, feet that move to a tune (Mairead the Fiddler could easily be African American with her ability to dance, uninhibited), and the sound of a symphony in perfect rhythm then Celtic Woman is A MUST! Vinnie Kelly. ![]() A New Journey: Live at Slane Castle $18.98 I have in my possession the Celtic Woman audio CD for awhile, but only recently purchased the DVD.
