This cat scratch post was flimsy. It did not stand up by itself; I had to pick up the chair it was supposed to protect and put a leg down on the base of the scratch post. When my cats stood up to scratch on it, the thing still bent over. My chair has become the preferred object to scratch. I got rid of this scratch post.

The good: This tower is so fun, my kittens started attacking it while I was putting it together, and it's their new favorite roosting place. They're learning to claw the tower instead of the carpet.
The bad: The tower I received was brown, not the blue shown in the picture. The kitties in the photo must be miniature, because my four month old tabbies are taller than the tower. The carpet comes off in chunks. The hanging mouse lasted about an hour before it was ripped out...with attached sharp staple.

My cats loved this product when we sprinkle catnip on it. What at an resist catnip? However after having to sweep up catnip a couple times because the cats tipped it over we decided that it wasn't a keeper for our house. If you are looking for a scratcher for a full grown cat, look elsewhere.

Cat condos are pretty expensive, so I wanted to get something that would please my cat and my wallet. This seemed like the perfect starter condo, and for 30 bucks it was the best deal I found.

The condo comes in a box and is pretty easy to assemble, but you will need a screwdriver to attach the scratching post. Once it's together it is relatively sturdy, but there were a couple of my times when my cat was scratching and I thought he might pull it over. It's also a little small. A medium-large cat will probably be peaking out of the house rather than fitting entirely inside. Also, we received one in a light blue color. You can't select a color, but it seems like they'll just send you a random one. It does tend to shed also. If your cat scratches the fluff a lot, expect to have to vacuum around it every few days.

Overall, this cat condo is a pretty good value especially for smaller cats, but just keep in mind that for a cheaper product you do have to make some sacrifices.
