![]() The Carol Burnett Show - Let's Bump Up The Lights/Showstoppers (2-disc set) $29.98 I purchased this for my mother for her birthday knowing that she would enjoy seeing the Carol Burnett Show once again, but didn't realize it was more like a review of the cast and their take on the show. They did show clips of certain scene's or skit's if you will, to which the actors did some comentary on. It would have been better for them to have a collection of the TV show in it's full run of each episode throughout the years. Maybe it just hasen't been released yet. My mother was certainly disapointed that she couldn't see the whole episode, but still had some good laughs watching the clips. I felt bad, but it was too late. Maybe in the future they will get permission to release the full episodes and make a boxed collection series. ![]() The Carol Burnett Show - Show Stoppers $14.98 I was a bit disapointed , as I thought this dvd was Carol Burnnets, tv shows, instead it was just bits and pieces of some of the funnier moments,, still was funny, but I did think it was her regular shows, and not the interviews. ![]() The Carol Burnett Show: Collector's Edition, Volumes 1-5 $145.99 Each DVD has only two episodes of the show. Don't know if that is worth the cost. ![]() The Carol Burnett Show - The Collector's Edition / Vol 3 $15.59 Another fine entry in the Burnett collection, so crisply remastered that it's like stepping back into time! Carl Reiner is the guest in one show, and Steve Lawrence is in the other. Of the two, I liked the Carl Reiner show the best. Reiner's presence (as a great funnyman in his own right as a Sid Caesar regular & "The Dick Van Dyke Show") lent a great deal of comic lunacy to the sketches. Another good selection; keep it up! |
