 ELITE BILLY BLANKS BOOT CAMP BOOTCAMP ELITE. DVD VERSION. $49.99 First, I am a HUGE Billy Blanks/Tae Bo fan. I lost 30lbs. with Tae Bo and after my 4th baby I used Post natal Tae Bo with Billy Blanks' stepdaughter, Shelley and it helped me get back into working out. I would not recommend Bootcamp Elite to someone who is already fit. It was way too easy for me. I thought it might be a low impact, high intensity workout, but I was really disappointed that it was neither. If you have just started exercising, this would be perfect for you. Prior to this workout program, I had already been doing strength training, yoga, running, etc. and needed something else that was just as or more intense but this was not it. This is the first time I was ever disappointed with a Billy Blanks video. I haven't returned it because I think I will use it once I get to the maintenance phase of my weight loss.  The Official Five-Star Fitness Boot Camp Workout, Updated Edition: For Men and Women (Official Five Star Fitness Guides) $16.95 I am beginning a Boot Camp workout class and thought this book might help me get started. The only difference between this and a regular workout is it's done outdoors. Maybe for beginners it might be good but I was insulted by the video - didn't even show any of the cardio drills mentioned in the book. If you're an experienced exerciser, this is not the book for you. |
