![]() Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex $49.99 This game rules. The game is just awesome. Intense fight scenes. Tons and tons of action. Lot of different weapons. I just finished it and I'm going to go play it again. ![]() Call of Duty: World at War $59.99 I was very excited when I learned of a new Call of Duty game coming. In the beginning, World At War had a lot of promise. The expected photoreal environments that we were first exposed to in Call of Duty 4 were there. Cool maps. Etc. But, over time gameplay became increasingly frustrating. Attacking dogs became increasingly difficult to kill. I refer to them as "Skynet" dogs because of their seeming invincibility to bullets or knives. After Treyarch, the developers of the game, claimed to have "fixed" the dogs with a patch, it became more obvious that little had changed. And in fact, the game was worse. Thankfully, Modern Warfare 2 has arrived. Infinity Ward is much better at the Call of Duty franchise. Sorry to say, but I don't see myself picking up any more Treyarch games. Stick with Infinity Ward and Modern Warfare 2. Modern Warfare 2 is an excellent game. ![]() Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 $59.99 I would have more fun if I had changed my $60 into 60 $1 bills and threw them out the car window 2 at a time while on my way to work. There are 3 modes to the game: -Single player campaign -Spec Ops -Multiplayer Let's start with the single player game play. It's fun....interesting story line, drive a snow mobile and shoot enemies. The major flaw of the single player is when the game puts you into a scenario where you are watching events unfold and your controller doesn't work, then the game decides to make your controller work (unbeknown to you) and then kills you off saying you should have moved....how the hell would I have known to move? Next you have spec ops mode. The spec ops mode is full of really lame goal oriented missions that are only completed if you play each of them so many times that you finally unlock enough stars to move onto the next ops mission. This section of the game is so frustrating you want to rip out your console, take it and the plugged in toaster in the shower, and turn on the water. Finally the multiplayer, online speaking it is complete garbage. A bazillion dollar company like Microsoft and Infinity Ward can't possibly spare enough servers to properly run the game; they have your $60 and don't care. Even with the highest connection displayed on your connection bar there is no telling what your actual connection speed is doing. Every time it comes down to a shoot out between you and the enemy the person with the best connection at the moment will always win. I have been just as amazed at shooting someone 4 times with no result as I am about knifing a whole team while I knew they were shooting at me....skill doesn't matter in this game like it did in COD 4, it's all about button mashing, rank, unbalanced perks, and connection. Infinity Ward really screwed the pooch this time by making a game that is good for button mashing-snot-faced kids at the expense of those with actual skill...it's like watching both the winner and loser win a trophy. That's life, it's unbalanced, it's supposed to be unbalanced, Infinity Ward is allowing the wolf to eat the rabbit but then giving the wolf a tummy ache because the rabbit had a pocket full of pop rocks. If you really don't think I have hit the nail on the head then go buy yourself a copy of COD: Modern Rip off 2, you've always wanted a $60 wedge to level out your unbalanced kitchen table haven't you? ![]() Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 $59.99 $60.00 for a direct console port to the pc? No servers for multiplayer and a game thats beat in 3 - 4 hours? What was this company thinking? |
