I absolutely loved this series. In hindsight, you can see they were falling apart in this last season compared to the other seasons, so that part bums me out and it isn't as funny or entertaining as the other seasons either. But honestly, for mindless fun tv, the entire series was great. You can't help but want to see the whole thing from season 1 thru to the end, so I would always finish with watching this season. Even my boyfriend can't help but watch it with me whenever I'm having a "newlyweds" marathon, he finds it as entertaining and hilarious as I do. So sad they didn't work out.

This was the first MTV reality series that I watched and I'd forgotten what a cute couple they were. Hindsight being 20/20 vision, the idea was a good way to reintroduce the couple to the public and remind viewers that both were pretty good pop singers who were still struggling to reestablish themselves in the music world but the added scrutiny by basically the world that they allowed into their private lives served to destroy their marriage. So I wonder if they'd agree to do this again knowing what they know now.

It's such a shame that the marriage didn't last but these 10 episodes are as entertaining to watch now as they were just a few short years ago. I loved how down to earth Nick was - hanging out with his brother, stubbornly moving his furniture into the house, fighting the bees and fretting about his music video and solo album. Jessica seemed sweet & her hilarious observations were the perfect foil to Nick's "straight man" reactions.

I remember that as the seasons went on they weren't as charming as this one because the tension between Nick & the entire Simpson family was so obvious that it became painful to watch. My only complaint is in the editing of the discs it's odd that neither Nick or Jessica's actual songs were used during the episodes about the filming of their videos but overall I enjoyed reliving this first season and would recommend it to those who may have missed the series when it aired.

I ordered the Newlyweds seasons 2 and 3. I only got 2 disc and there were suppose to be 3. I got all three cases but one was empty, I guess they thought they could rip me off!!! I would never order from this seller again or amazon.com!!!!

I love Jessica Simpson ... because of who she is. She has a great down to earth normal personality, she's not stuck up and she appears to be a great friend to those around her. I don't think she should have allowed her best friend (assistant) Casey to move in with them, it made things even worse. They needed their privacy and they didn't have that with her their 24/7. I can't remember which season but on one of the episodes when they dress up for halloween like the Three's Company crew ... notice how toward the end when they are all walking out the door Casey is the last one to walk out and Nick is holding the door open ... she touches his stomach in a really flirtatious way ... i hated her ... Jessica never realized that all the tension between Nick and Casey was because they liked eachother, which is why Nick sort of argued with her sometimes. Made me sick !
