![]() CBS: The First 50 Years $17.98 CBS should be embarrassed by this release. This collection is like going to a 4 star restaurant, ordering a baked Alaska and getting a pop tart with ice cream on a fancy plate. Aside from a few of the themes at the end of the disc (Everybody Loves Raymond, Cosby, etc.), the rest is taken from TVT's lousy collection of re-recordings and off-air low quality versions. The producers try to add to the nostalgic intent of the disc by placing sound clips of various historical events throughout. but with the poor renditions of the themes, it's like watching a movie with bad special effects - it just takes you right out of the moment. Anyway, if you own the first 3 TVT "TV's greatest hits" CD's, then you don't need this. Just a note - when the first TVT "TV's greatest hits" lp came out in the mid 80's, the low quality was understandable. It was a fledgling company and couldn't afford to put out a product of high quality. When this CD came out, they were well established, which only leads me to believe that they were just plain lazy and cheap. 1 star is for the recent original themes added to the end of the disc. ![]() Fleur De Lis $1.99 I loved this episode and hated it too. :-) It leaves you with a lot of questions and a lot of speculations. I can't wait to see what happens next. I just hope Mick doesn't need to save Coraline's life by turning her back into a vampire. But if she is Coraline and she has a cure for 'vamperism', she can't live. Mick can't find a cure! He's our star vampire. Maybe this woman isn't Coraline but someone who knows of Coraline and Mick and vampires and is playing a game with him. Hmm, questions questions. I can't wait for more episodes. |
