I got this movie cause I saw the TV show and I wanted to see what the movie was like. This movie is not that great and if it were not for the TV series, it would probably fall off the face of the planet. Do yourself a favor and just try to rent it from somewhere.

If Buffy, the petite pop-modern vampire slayer wasn't enough for you this second volume from Joss Whedon's "Season Eight" of Buffy brings tortured, anti-heroine slayer Faith back into play in a role even more suited to her than vampire and demon slaying.
Part of the draw of the Buffy-verse is the balance of darkness and good. Every character has had their dips into evil, from Xander's flirtations with all manner of monsters to Willow's grief-induced stint as the Big Bad. But some characters start out from deeper in the evil well. Giles and Faith are two of the darkest, Faith representing the out of control youth, caught in a cycle of violence from a young age and carrying on the chaos in her own life in a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy. Giles' history, merely glanced upon in the TV series feels more like a betrayal, when you come to love this patient, always-trying man only to discover he has a hard core of frightening ruthlessness.
Buffy, Xander and even Willow are the Superman and the Spidermans of the Buffy-verse, but Faith and Giles are the Punishers.
This analogy is proven hard and fast from the first few pages when Giles calls on Faith to do what the other Slayers can't, walk into the house of a single mother who was turned into a vampire and slay the kids she turned. After this trying scene Giles meets back up with Faith at her apartment and asks her to handle a special case for him, one he doesn't even want Buffy, Xander, Willow and the other Slayers to know about. It stands to reason that not all the Potentials who are now endowed with Slayer powers would turn out good, especially as other creatures of power find and foster them since Buffy's operation is busy with the new threats from the mysterious "Twilight" and the good old U.S. Government.
Assassinating a Slayer, even if she is evil is not an easy task, as this volume proves.
Furthermore, "No Future for You" also proves that the switch to comics was an excellent move for Whedon and the Buffy-verse as the format allows a lot more playing, and a hyperfocus on characters otherwise glanced over in the series. Many plots dealt with Faith and her waffling between the forces of good and evil, but the glimpses we see of her past in these pages are heart breaking and enlightening at the same time.
One could easily argue, after this addition to Season Eight, that Faith might make a better lead, if the audience can handle a grittier, darker, less reliable narrator.

*Also, this volume features the cameo of my publisher's wife, Robin, which I was very glad to finally get to read.

I could choose to be evil and go first or opt for Good and win. Easy choice! This game is really cool[...]. Way involved and a little tiresome at first, but once you get the stakes flying, it's fun to step into the hellmouth.
However, I have commented to Hasbro that the instructions and the place cards don't have the same information (Darla or Vamp X?) I think once they have a proper proof reader, the game will be perfect! Lots to look at and move, it's a great midnight to 4 am board game. It also has a great looking box and instruction manual for collectors.

OK... First let me say I'm a die hard Buffy fan. Every other season was amazing and had me literally jumping outa my seat with excitement, but season seven was just terrible for its usual fun and fresh seasons. I think the best way to voice my opinion is to list the things I disliked about the season 7:

The "Big Bad" of the season wasnt so big or bad at all. For the first evil and sole reason for sin on earth, this villian absolutely sucked. He could not take corporial form therefore couldnt touch or be touched. Because of this, Buffy never physically fought the "First". He had to call upon other bad guys to do his dirty work. The only breath of fresh air "The First" brought to the season was taking the form of some of the dead characters from previous seasons, but once the shock of it wore off it left you asking yourself, "Is that it? Is that all he can do?"

Anya and Zander seemed to be in a lull throughout. They would make love now and again but nothing would come of it, and once they killed her off Zander and Anya's story never seemed to wrap up. In fact Zander didnt even seem to care that his girlfriend was dead.

Season 7 didnt introduce anything new. The episodes seemed to repeat themselves from previous years and dragged on borishly, especially during the middle where the season started to lose my interest. I found some of the episodes so terrible I wanted to fast forward to the end, such as "Storyteller", "Same Time Same Place",and "Empty Places". Yet there were few great episodes too like, "Conversations with Dead People", "Him", and "Dirty Girls".

Spike and Buffy's relationship I found to be totally bizarre and it took me out of the story. Spike used to be so bad ass but now seems so "Buffy-whipped" its pathetic. She doesnt want spike but doesnt want anyone else to have him.

The story line about the potential slayers was so off putting. You didnt even get to know half of there names let alone feel for them if they were killed. For most of the season they were totally useless and whinny, and a majority of time was focused on training them to become more powerful Slayers. The introduction of a completely new cast was overwhelming.

The last episode got so ridiculous I found myself cringing at times. In the begining of the season the Uber-Vampires were nealry impossible to kill, yet the last episode turns into a "Lord of the Rings" type battle where the Potential slayers (after Willow puts a spell on them to make them stronger) kill thousands of them easy as pie. Just when they start losing the battle Spike randomly glows really bright, turns all the other vamps to dust and dies himself, right before the entire town of Sunnydale collapses into the ground. It was way over-the-top.

I did enjoy the return of Faith, my absolute favorite character in the series, and the introduction of the evil preacher, Caleb. He was the only formidable villian of the season, yet the final battle between him and Buffy was pathetic. He was killed so easily and fast it left me wanting to see more of him. In my opinion, I think he should have been the "Big Bad" of the season.

Seven was the absolute worst season of all the seasons. It felt as if the writers were tired of working on the show and half-assed it, but if your a die hard Buffy fan its worth a watch for the few good episodes and closure, just dont expect the classic edge of your seat, laugh-fest, thrill coaster kinda Buffy.
