![]() Buffalo Soldiers (The Black Sabre Chronicles) $5.99 The topic seems good: the story of black soldiers fighting bravely during a time of racism, but the story is terribly written. It is full of cliches and weak description. It is very long and filled with event after event, so that you are confused and bored rather than excited and intrigued. It is probably the worst book I have ever read, and I read about a book a week. ![]() Voices of the Buffalo Soldier: Records, Reports, and Recollections of Military Life and Service in the West $21.95 Any military or black studies library strong in early American military history will find VOICES OF THE BUFFALO SOLDIER to be an excellent survey of the black military experience on the plains frontier. Records and reports provide source material of such service, with vintage black and white illustration adding visuals to the historic presentation. ![]() Buffalo Soldiers: The Colored Regulars in the United States Army (Classics in Black Studies) $19.98 I AM PROUD TO KNOW A BUFFALO SOLDIER-HERO OF THE DAYS PAST TO BE REMEMBERED ![]() Buffalo Soldiers $14.99 The acting was lame, the dialogue unbelievable, and the story far-fetched. Comparing this to Catch-22 or "Three Kings", as the cover reviews do, is like comparing a cheese-burger (with the emphasis on "cheese") to a sirloin steak. Although it may keep you just interested enough to finish it, by the end of the movie you'll realize you've just wasted the past two hours. |
