![]() Bright Lights, Big City $15.00 this book caught my attention from the very first chapter and held it steadily throughout. the conversational tone of the book makes it a quick read as well. quick note: dont watch the movie, not nearly as good ![]() Scene It? Bright Lights! Big Screen! $39.99 Usually when I purchase a game I extensively research reviews, so most purchases are either solid or I get what I expect. The first XBox Scene It was great, the second one was excellent, incorporating avatars and sporting a great sense of style and fun. So with Scene It? Bright Lights! Big Screen! I figured that they would just keep building on the past success, I did not even check reviews. Big mistake. The game is a disappointment on so many levels, it's hard to know where to begin. There is no support for Xbox avatars, it tells you to log in, but gives no indication that you have. Then it presents a warning to log-in or questions will not be saved. Still, you have no idea if you are logged in because your account avatar never shows up. The game takes place on one basic bland screen. There is an on-screen host and when his lips actually do sync with his dialog he's pretty skippable. Questions are good with clips from current features, but the whole presentation looks like a bad Wii game. The last game you and your fellow avatars went zooming around on a couch with beautifully rendered animation sequences. This one you get a very brief cut scene that looks like entry level 3D renderings. I could go on, but why bother? If you are even remotely interested in this game, stop yourself, and get the last one, Scene It? Box Office Smash (best in the series) or even the first one. Scene It? on the consoles has dropped to a surprising new low in which it may not recover. ![]() Turn on the Bright Lights $11.98 Still one of the better introductive indie rock releases of the decade, guided by a boldly assertive streak of beginning tracks, Interpol's debut avoids a conscious songwriting strain early success brought with future output, instead providing more effortlessly angular, darkened pop, properly emulating the oft-milked Joy Division prototype. ![]() Feel Bright Light 100 Portable, Self Contained Phototherapy Device with Rechargable Lithium Polymer Battery and Charger $199.00 Forget Buyer Beware!!!! I take it back! I just got off the phone from a very prompt, polite, and helpful service call from the manufacturer! feelbrightlight.com I searched for and found the packaging for my visor with the plan of sending what I viewed as a defective light back to the company. I saw their web address on the box and decided to write to them about my problem of not getting the visor to turn on again. Within a half hour I received a phone call from them. Turns out "I" was operating the charger under false information. I thought the light came with added instructions that warned not to overcharge the unit. Wrong! I am now informed that it cannot be overcharged. What's more is the life expectancy and performance of the battery and bulbs is well above and beyond. I was grossly undercharging my light and that is why it wouldn't turn on. Please ignore my previous comment and buy this visor. The convenience of a visor with the proper light color and placement above eye level worked wonders in treating all my symptoms of SAD, and I could well qualify as their poster child. This product makes a "night and day" difference in the quality of my life Sept.-March. I most strongly recommend this product. It is money "well" spent. |
