![]() 1776: The New Broadway Cast Recording (1997) $17.98 Just fantastic performances from everyone featured on the CD. Of special note is Gregg Edelman's rendition of "Molasses to Rum" but the best thing about this recording is the level of quality all the singers show. I didn't have an opportunity to see it performed, and this CD shows me just how much I really missed. I bought it because I'm a Brent Spiner fan, and as always he sounds marvelous, but really it sounds like a very strong ensemble effort. ![]() The Spin on Spiner $20.00 this book wasn't so interesting for me. I expected a series of photos with the life of the actor, meanwhile there is only a long list of his participations in movies or shows in theatre. ![]() The Ponder Heart [VHS] $19.98 This story, based on the novel by southern writer Eudora Welty is charming and humorous. The first half is decidedly better than the second and the ending could have been smoother. But the character of Uncle Daniel and Bonnie Dee Peacock could not have been portrayed any better. The dim Uncle Daniel, and the not-too-bright Bonnie Dee are perfect renditions of the Welty characters I imagined. This a story of humor and southern charm, with some excellent performances! |
