I was looking forward to this collection for a long time.
Last month, I made an order of Volume 1. To my disappointment
most of the films are gory but not actually scary. Most of the
Directors resorted to quck pace scenes to scare the viewers.

In the end, I have to return the DVD's, which I did not bother
to see all, because of the poor quality of direction. I thought
this collection would live up to the old concept of classic horror,
unfortunately not. The DVD's are simply over priced and over rated.

I happen to have just about all of the mass-produced vinyl albums (released in America) from the 60's as well as several of the vinyl re-issues that were released in the late 70's? And, being a Beatles fan, I also have the CDs. I have always enjoyed the sound of the Beatles on vinyl. The music has depth and warmth.
Having recently purchased the remastered White Album and Rubber Soul, I have been able to compare vinyl and my old CD's to the remastered CDs. I'll make this short by saying the remastered CDs have crystal clear sound. The people who remastered the songs did so according to their tastes. But the "mix" of the instruments and vocals doesn't always sound that great to me. In listening to the remasters, I can't say that they sound better than my old CDs. Cleaner sound? "Yes". Do the songs sound better? Not necessarily. Because of this, I am in no hurry to buy more of the remastered CDs. Remastered doesn't always mean better.

This show is perfect. And the boxset was not scratched at all. And Burnie Burns did a good job as Church. The last episode has a lot of endings. From episode one, to episode one-hundred. Excellent series.
