![]() The Human Body (Scholastic First Discovery) $5.99 My four year old has enjoyed this book very much. The transparencies with different systems of the body are especially fun. However she was disappointed and confused that it doesn't in any way include the reproductive organs, so we ended buying a more sophisticated anatomy book that was more satisfying. ![]() Your Body Belongs to You $6.99 This is a good book for introducing the idea to your children, especially young ones that need a simpler explanation. For a more detailed approach, for age 4 and up, I reccommend "The Right Touch." Overall, well done, and generic enough to use in a daycare or preschool classroom. ![]() Big Book of the Human Body $14.99 My 4 year old niece LOVES this book -- it quickly became her favorite one. Now she explains to everyone how bodies work, such as how bones are rigid but bend with joints; what blood is; that the pupil is the little black center in your eye, etc. She is developing quite an interest in anatomy. Now she wants a human body model to take apart and put back together. She may have a future in the health professions! This book is a great introduction to how the body works and very age appropriate for 2 - 5 year olds. |
