![]() Robin Williams - Live on Broadway $11.98 Taken from his latest Live show, this is one of Robin William's best since Live At The Met. Filled with humor ranging from raunchy to playful, Robin Williams proves that he's more than just a comedy machine that can reel off a few one-liners and expect people to laugh without hesitation. ![]() The Aristocrats $14.99 It's a documentary about comedians, their personalities using the motif of a joke. Very cool concept analogous to a jazz composition. It does lag in the middle but finished strong. The best interpretation of the joke in my mind was the mime (which is ironic because usually don't find mimes very funny or entertaining). Kevin Pollack's performances are brilliant as well. Some note that the jump cut editing and the interruptions of the joke by the tellers is a nuisance, I disagree as it keeps it the joke, and with it, the film from being redundant. "Why all the negative reviews?", you might ask? Because clearly those reviewers just don't get "it". Watch for yourself and think for yourself. ![]() Father and Scout $9.98 There are no Scouts in this movie. It is simply a movie about a man who thinks all outdoor activities (and those who enjoy them) are stupid. Bob Saget goes through the movie making snide remarks about everything, only to be proved that he is just a jerk. This film is titled incorrectly--the boy is not involved in Scouting, and the camp is not a Boy Scout (or any other kind of Scout) camp. This is typical of the smug view that anyone who enjoys boating, hiking, camping or fishing must be some type of backwoods redneck. Bought it used, tossed it in the trash after one viewing. ![]() Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget: Uncensored $19.99 This could be called The CLORIS LEACHMAN SHOW. Her delivery was awesome; her brilliance is amazing. Her Frau Brucher and her Nurse Diesel were outstanding, but her roast was the most hillarious 7 minutes I've ever seen. Ever. |
