I had hoped this would be a little more blanket-like, a weatherproof stadium blanket. However, it is too rigid to wrap up in. It actually though is great as a seat cushion. We just open the velcro flap and roll it out along the bench. We don't unfold the entire blanket, just leave it bench width. It has several layers of thickness and keeps our bottoms warm, so payed for itself when I didn't have to buy 4 bench warmer cushions, and is much more convenient to carry! And it's a piece of cake to fold back up perfectly every time.

It is a really nice quality item, and I'm sure that in summer we'll use it at the beach or on the lawn.

Very soft. Also somewhat stretchy and great for swaddling the 0-3 month old. We bought another one after we found out how great it was for a snug swaddle.

I bought this last year after the holidays when it was at clearance prices. I'm so happy to see it is back because I had to take what was available. Now I'm going to pick the color and size I want. This blanket is incredibly soft. It also has the unique ability to keep my body the right temperature regardless of the season. This has been the only covering I have used since I got it last January. Granted I live in Southern California but I didn't need my down comforter last winter. Nor was it too warm over the summer. I also don't use this with a sheet (the sheet interferred with the properties of the blanket IMO). It is incredibly light but keeps me warm (but not too warm). Every other blanket I have owned has made me sweat at some time.

On the negative side, yes it does pill a little and matt, but it is still the best I've ever used.

And PS about the throw, you won't be sorry if you pick that up as well.
