David Barton is an evangelical, conservative, political activist who has made videos which promote racism. I find this subject interesting in that on several of his videos, Barton shows selected scenes from the Rodney King riots, showing black people looting. Ominous music plays ... the camera pauses on a black man's closed fist. Barton describes the riot as "motivated by an un-popular court decision" - purposely dismissing critical context to understand the event. Blacks saw this event as a unjust beating by white police who were then found not-guilty by a white jury. Barton is not technically lying, but practically he is using vicious ethics not worthy of any Christian. The video switches to patriotic music, flags flutter in the background, and Barton makes his pitch. America is going to hell because we took the Bible out of schools. His work is driven by a religious and political agenda, undermining his integrity. Buy it for indoctrination, but do not pretend this is truthful history.

I have long believed there were some things missing in the translation of the Bible. this book has answered many of my questions. This is the first book that I have that looks at it from the woman's prespective and that makes all the difference in the world. Being a woman I was very empowered by her explanation of God's purpose for women this book will do a lot for the self esteem of those who can receive it. Her explanation of Adam and his family and the mark of Cain was a mindblower but it finally made sense. I was elated to finally get the truth about Eve and the reason she was chosen by the serpent instead of Adam. This book really laid out the lineage of my people in a way that I will never forget. I have finally found the answers to many of the gaps in the Bible and in our biblical history and I have purchased this book as gifts for others in the ministry so they can pass it on and make a differnce in how we perceive ourselves.
