I took a chance on Bif Naked's 2005 album Superbeautifulmonster because a) she's hot and b) I had heard that she rocked pretty hard. Hot as she may be, she rocks about as much as Avril Lavigne. She sounds like a teen pop singer doing "rocker night" on American Idol.

Bif Naked has a great voice and writes pretty infectious pop songs. But that's all an album like Superbeautifulmonster should be sold as - a pop album. All the tattoos and Metallica covers in the world won't change the fact that most of the songs on this album could just as easily have been written for Faith Hill or Gwen Stefani.

Again, if you're looking for a catchy, (mostly) well-written pop album, you could do a lot worse than Superbeautifulmonster. If you're expecting a remotely authentic rock album, you're going to be disappointed. Girlschool, this ain't.

Despite this was Bif's first album, the music is extraordinary and almost as good as that in her other albums. I said almost because her music is improving constantly. I don't know why the hell she's not getting the fame (outside Canada) she deserves, is it just because she is not a "conventional" U.S. or English pop singer or because of her tattoos, I simply can't understand why.

More like "Binge"! Beth Torbert is a genius, I'm a big fan of her work. "Purge" is a masterpiece. Still consistent after all this time and continues to serve her audience well with no problems, I love you Beth!. This album is more Pop/Rock and barley any metal this time around, Atleast I don't hear any. No complaints here. Once again I'm playing a Bif Naked Album All-the-way-thorugh and it's smooth sailing without pushing any buttons. "Dawn" "Regular Guy" "Stolen Sidewalk" & "Story Of My Life" are the hottest on the album IMO. "Regular Guy" has a poppy-upbeat-power-pop rhythm and sounds like a "No Doubt" song, Who wouldn't love it for that reason? She almost sounds completely identical to Gwen Stefani on this track. "I Love Myself Today" is a shouty anthem-styled-song that should not be taken seriously, It's a crazy song about loving yourself for a day and being carefree- "I Love Myself Today" would not sound out of place in a TV ad for Bally Total Fitness. "Stolen Sidewalk" is a gloomy acoustic ballad with a vulnerable sound to it, Beth sounds tender and kind of fragile in this song. She's definatley good at showing a great range of emotion. "Tango Shoes" is another fun upbeat song that catches ones attention and it's fun to bop to, this song drives me crazy everytime I hear it- I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. I'm into EVERY song on the album but I thought it best to only get into the ones that stickout to me, Otherwise i'd probably be here all day. In-short the album is HOT. You can always count on Bif Naked to put together a hot album. Get it!

I had only heard a couple of her songs on this album & admit that i purchased her second album before i did this one. I like this one alot. I like her style, honesty & feeling, and shes just a cool chick!
