 Eerdmans Dictionary of the Bible $50.00 This is an excellence source for critical study of the Bible. It is good to use as a source for reading the Bible critically. Probably too much info if your are not a Biblical scholar or planning on becoming one. A simple study Bible with concordance would be much better in that case. Overall, I am impressed.  Zondervan's Compact Bible Dictionary $8.99 The compact bible dictionary is a great book to keep handy when you need to look up someone or something, or perhaps just want more detail on a specific topic. It will add to your understanding of many of the items in the Bible.  Nelson's New Illustrated Bible Dictionary: Completely Revised and Updated Edition $29.97 Nelson's Bible Dictionary is an awesome way to read the Holy Bible.It's a useful tool in understanding who the author was which is very important, also it gives great insight to the times in which it was written. When I get confused about a passage weather it in the new or old testament I can turn to the dictionary to gain insight and facts I would otherwise not have access to. This book clearly takes a lot of confusion out of the Bible.  HarperCollins Bible Dictionary $47.95 Best Bible Dictionary on the market. I use mine often and purchased this one for my Brother's birthday. He is a good Bible student, too. It is much more than a "dictionary" and makes scriptures more meaningful. |
