Twenty-two years have passed since the original release of Enya's self-titled debut album. During that time, Enya has become one of the world's most successful musicians with over 70 million album sales worldwide to her name and an array of authoritative honors including four Grammy Awards and three World Music Awards. Warner. 2009. ![]() Best of 70s Supergroups $9.99 You can just listen to one of hundreds of American classic rock stations to hear every single song on this disc- "1. More than a Feeling -- Boston" A pop band that has been played WAY too often over the years. "2. Evil Woman -- ELO" Nowhere near their best song. That would be "Daybreaker" or "The Whale". "3. Come Sail Away -- Styx" Has some good guitar playing in the second half, but again, we've heard this song way too many times over the years. Styx are a better band than this. "4. Taking Care of Business -- BTO" Everything I said about Styx applies to BTO. Check out the Not Fragile album instead. "5. American Woman -- The Guess Who" Recently some mid 70's Guess Who albums have been issued on CD that contain a BUNCH of melodic and fantastic songs. Check out one of those albums to hear just how underrated the band is. "6. I Just Want to Celebrate -- Rare Earth" I'm tired of celebrating this song because I've heard it too many times. "7. Black Magic Woman -- Santana" haha, not even CLOSE to being one of Santana's best songs. There's the entire albums of Santana III, Caravanserai, Love, Devotion & Surrender, and even the Welcome album that contain better songs "8. Never Been to Spain -- Three Dog Night" Turns out Three Dog Night likes to write consistent albums with lots of melody and interesting arrangements. Go forward and explore those albums. "9. Green Eyed Lady -- Sugarloaf" The Guess Who has some fantastic albums, and so does Sugarloaf. Spaceship Earth being a REALLY good one. "10. We're an American Band -- Grand Funk" Maybe if I'm lucky, one day I'll come online and see a comp that contains better Grand Funk songs such as "Time Machine" or their raw version of "Gimme Shelter". "11. Sweet Home Alabama -- Lynyrd Skynyrd" Ever hear a song called "The Needle and the Spoon?" If not, you should know that's just one of many better Lynyrd Skynyrd songs than this overplayed one. "12. So Into You -- Atlanta Rhythm Section" Good song, but an even better album band. "13. Help is On Its Way -- Little River Band" Wow, something that hasn't been played a million times on radio stations! That's a good start. "14. Dust in the Wind -- Kansas" Afraid not, my friends. Kansas were a progressive rock band in the early days of their career, and more interesting than this song. Now you know what to do- ignore this comp completely. ![]() Best Romantic Classics 100 $19.98 When there is an absence of classical music during some parts of the day or night, it is very pleasant to have all of our favorites compositions as backround music. The selections were satisfactory as were the performances. |
