 Measuring Behaviour: An Introductory Guide $48.99 I really like this book, its well written and concise, but it very short and too expensive for what you get. I have no other books like this so I don't know if it worth a buy anyway.  BTC 6100C Ultra Slim Multimedia Keyboard - Keyboard - PS/2, USB - black, metallic $39.95 I wear out keyboards. I used to go through cheap plunger style keyboards every 6 months. The key surfaces get polished; the plungers start to bind; the works. The scissor mechanism of these boards gives them a great typing feel and longevity. I bought my first in a huge store after rigorously comparing the feel to every other quality keyboard there. I haven't actually worn one of these out yet; but I have had one around so long that with eventual abuse (spilled coffee, accumulated dirt, and too many drops on the floor and what-not)I did manage after several years to mess up a key -- entirely my fault. I've gone through a mess of keyboards, and nothing has given me anywhere near the longevity of this board, or the behavior I need, over its lifespan. There's only a couple of other boards out there which meet my typing feel standards; a few more (with this type of key mechanism only) may provide similar durability. For the price of this board, you can keep a spare around, like I do. |
