Small Miracles Let's Pretend Hairdresser
Small Miracles Let's Pretend Hairdresser

$29.99
I bought this item after finding that all other pretend blow dryers were either barbie or princess branded. I feel that little girls are already inundated with these brands.

Anyhow, I found this one and decided it was a great find since it had the hair dressers coat to go along with the curling irons and pretend blow dryer. My mother is a hair dresser and my daughter loves imitating her.

Well, the blow dryer is not the same as the picture, and does not make sounds. It has a place for a battery. But when we tried to take the screw out to put in the battery, the screw stripped in seconds. So we took several other screws out to completely disassemble the dryer, only to find that there was no wiring, and no actual housing for the battery. Even though there are pictures of the battery location printed on the darn thing. My daughter was very sad, as this was huge on her wish list. And I was extremely disappointed as I could have gotten a foolish pretend dryer barbie brand or other for much less. Now I will be purchasing one on top of this overpriced, unusable one. Luckily she likes the jacket. In a nut shell, this product is NOT worth the price. I could've made the jacket myself with $2 worth of material from Walmart. Overpriced, and a disappointment all around.

This show has been around a long time. Because of it many other Black artists found an outlet to do their thing. So, for its root of all things status I believe it deserves 4 stars. It's not the great work of the stage that we are all waiting for. But, it's not a bad way to spend a couple of hours. Pleasant watching.
Sharps Barber and Shop Kid Glove Oil-Free Pre-Shave Stick 1 oz (30 g)
Sharps Barber and Shop Kid Glove Oil-Free Pre-Shave Stick 1 oz (30 g)

$16.00
For a number of years I've used the expensive Art of Shaving pre-shave oil. It smells great, and certainly did a better job than shaving cream alone.

I was intrigued, however, by Sharp's pre-shave stick, as I needed something a little less liquid, and more travel-friendly. I'm a few shaves in, and my skin is noticeably absent of nicks, cuts or burns. The product was especially effective around the difficult areas to shave, like the jawline, Adam's apple, and mouth. Even going against the grain--I'd recommend reapplying both the pre-shave and shave cream before doing another pass--the blade traveled smoothly and left no irratation in its wake.

While it doesn't smell quite as good as the lavender Art of Shaving product (its scent is fairly neutral), it's far more effective. If you keep your razor sharp and take a hot shower first, you'll get a great, close shave.
