Assassin's Creed Limited Edition
Assassin's Creed Limited Edition

$69.99
This game was fun at first, but honestly it's one of those games you love from the beginning, but then becomes very boring.

Alot of the assassination missions seem the same, and I just found that too bland. I bought the limited edition of both this and Mass Effect the same day. After killing 4 of the 9, I got sick of the game and ended up playing Mass Effect 3 times through (doing majority of the side quests and visiting planets each time, as well as reaching level 60).

I've noticed MANY glitches in this game, such as Altair's arm sucking into his body out of no where, or slowly sliding down a wall. Even enemies walking onto a roof then falling off only to continuously repeat itself.

The gameplay is meh, and the camera tends to irritate me. It might be great for others, but bothers me.

Also, this is the biggest Limited Edition rip off I've ever seen.

The box is bigger than the average 360 L.E. versions of games, yet offers the least.

The art book feels like its 2 pages thick, and the toy is as small as a lighter. And of coarse the standard for all L.E. versions of games, the bonus DVD. BUT THAT'S ALL THAT COMES IN THAT HUGE CASE!

It's not a terrible game, but it's not a classic either.

If you're looking for something fun yet challenging, get Devil May Cry 4.

If you want to play a game that requires attention to detail and alot of things to do and has a great story, get Mass Effect.

And if you want to just spend alot of time playing the world in multiplayer, get Call Of Duty 4.

Great game, great graphics. Though it gets a little repetitive by the middles. Since it the game only gets more difficult it doesnt really change the way you do things. But never the less a game worth purchusing.

This game is fun, i like the obstabicles you have to go through but i'm am a little bumbed on the lack of fighting ability in the beginnig but the more you get into the game the more ways you get to fight and kill characters. which is the whole point of the game.

Assassins Creed 2 has definitely been one of the years most anticipated titles. That said we have to look at what it brings to the table.... New and old..

GAMEPLAY:
I fell in love with the gameplay mechanic from AC1 with Altair.. it felt fluid like a real person would do, and the maps were basically freerunning jumping grounds. AC2 is close, but not as fluid. The maps are way too broken up with way too many breaks. I understand that Ezio is basically a novice but still... it would've been nice to relive the fluidity aspect. And there is no guarantee that if you assassinate someone close to the edge of the rooftop that you will stay on the rooftop. There so many times that I fell off with no chance of recovery bc of assassinating an archer on the edge. Also the Theives mechanic was basically worthless to me.. How does someone steal from you miraculously half a map away? And only a few florin? Not even worth the effort...
The Economic system was a nice touch, but not really needed. The focus, to me anyway, is of the Assassin variety!

WEAPONS:
The special moves and double hidden blade were a nice addition! But the others, such as the gun, poison blade, and smoke bombs, were really unnecessary. I can count twice I used the hidden gun for anything. And the poison blade twice, once to see what it did.. then to get the trophy.

GRAPHICS:
When starting the game, I thought to myself.. "Really?! This looks crap compared to the first!" But amazingly the game got better graphically during Ezio's world. But when switched to Desmond's... still bad. Halfway through the game some characters looked lifelike! But then at others...cartoony...i.e. present day. I know that different teams did different parts but still. Either way...didn't matter that much to me cuz of the gameplay... but then again, first impressions are a must.

STORYLINE:
Honestly felt very predictable. Especially if you watched very many different types of movies. I posted in a previous blog that it was similar to the plot of "Knowing" and I meant it lol. The biggest storyline was Ezio's when we forget that the main plotline is that of Desmond. Which was very short in the game, even when you count the ending.
Then again, Looking forward to the next game being more oriented like the first.

MUSIC:
While listening to the music in game... didn't really notice it the majority of the time. Didn't pump me up or anything. But listening to it separately music alone is amazing!
When I saw that AC2 was up for best music I was thinking "there was hardly any music."
But then again by itself, the music is awesome!

REPLAY VALUE:
Not really much after you've collected everything except for torturing townspeople.

OVERALL:
This game is soo much easier than the first. The only time I died was jumping off of high spots lol! The real reason we love the game is because of the atmosphere. I mean when do you ever get to run around actual historic landmarks that are still available today? Be it the Holy Land or Renaissance Italy. The game has several bugs on it's final release that I didn't mention, but all in all its pretty good...not perfect...but good. Plus! Altair was more honorable. Maybe by the end of the series, we shall truly be fulfilled. But then again, there is always an opinion.

6.5 out of 10 unless there's DLC ^_^
