so i was in tower records the other day with my mom
and im looking at the clearance/used section. and saw green day's american idiot, i'm like "wah" and it was less cuz it was used? im like "who would return this cd?? you'd have to be pretty dumb to do that." i guess the person wasnt that smart afterall. this edition is so cool, its as bigger than address book with 52 pages of awesome pictured and lyrics and its cool cuz since its in a book style, its like ur getting the american idiot story (try doing that metallica) and then the cd at the end to hear the amazing music. you have to get this cd, even if time is too late, conisdering its been so long and you cant order/get this ediiton get the reg, msot places sell it for like $13!! GET IT, GET IT! GET UR FRIEND A COPY, GET ALL UR FRIENDS A COPY! TRUST ME ON THIS YOU WONT REGRET IT. AS FOR ALL THIS POSER CRAP AND ALL DONT LISTNE. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL GREEN DAY LIKE THEY USED TO BE MIXED IN WITH NEW, PROFESSIONAL, AWESOME GUITAR. THEY KNOW HOW TO PLAY GUITAR. AND I AM RIGHT SO DON'T TRY TO SAY I'M WRONG. THANK YOU. YES MR. Many people have called Green Day "sell-outs" or "modern rock/punk posers", but I beg to differ those opinions. True in their early days of "Kerplunk!" and "Dookie" they had a punk sound and were full of angst and rebellion, but one can't stay young forever. The prior album to this was "Warning". That's a great album too, but this one (American Idiot) is the hallmark album of their careers. This album also shows the bands maturity and it shows they have a bit of a soft side. "Wake Me Up When September Ends" is about Billy Joe's fathers death and also references to 9/11. For a band to be taken seriously, they need to show some softness and emotion. After 5 years of this albums release, I still get a little emotional when I hear that song. The first single, however, is pretty straight forward. Why conform to the accepted American norm? Don't be American Idiots people! Yes, this is not the first rock opera ever released in the history of music, but it is most certainly one of the best ever. I love every track on this album. I am thirsty for more Billy, Mike and Tre. Please keep on rocking until you are in your 50s!! (Did I mention that I've loved Green Day since "Kerplunk"?)

What can I say vinyl is coming back and this Green Day album is a great high quality addition to any collection. I am not reviewing the content/music of Green Day just this vinyl record. Great packaging, high quality sound.
