![]() American Hot Rod Season 1 DVD Set (Part 1) $29.95 Get an up-close and personal view of legendary hotrod builder Boyd Coddington, his ex-wife, his new wife and the rest of a fascinating cast of characters that help him keep his business--and the drama--running at high revs. Tune in for nonstop tension, comedy and frustration as Boyd and crew race feverishly to build three unbelievably "cherry" classic cars with impossible deadlines breathing down their necks. It's just another day on American Hotrod. Season 1 (Part 1) - In the Season 1 opener, Boyd and his crew attempt to resurrect a forgotten classic - a scruffy, 1956 Chevy two-door that has definitely seen better days. Boyd's team salvages this junkyard dog from the pound and tries to teach the old Chevy some new tricks. After some major bodywork and a shiny new coat, the Junkyard Dog is starting to have just as much bark as it does bite. The metal starts flying when the Coddington crew sets out to create a signature roadster from scratch in just 16 weeks. This product is manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media. Amazon.com's standard return policy will apply. ![]() VALUESOFT Hot Rod: American Street Drag ( Windows ) $4.99 The new Hot Rod: Garage to Glory has a restrictive only 3 computer upgrade license. This means you are only allowed to install on another computer or upgrade 3 times and your game will cease to work. No other video game has this B.S. You definately shouldn't find it in bargain budget software. Beware of this limitation before purchasing. What happens if you need to get an activation code and this small company isn't around in a year or two? ![]() American Hot Rod Season 1 DVD Set (Part 2) $29.95 This is perhaps the worst DVD set I've ever owned. It is composed in no particular sequence - as already outlined in a previous review it starts (Disk 1 part 1) half way through a build and half way through the season. Then you have to hunt through the remaining 5 DVD's to find the rest of the episodes. There is no idexing, DVD extras or any other features. If I had taped the show from the original broadcast and simply burnt it randomly on to DVD's I would have come up with the same product. Discovery's first season release was also terrible as you have to purchase each episode one at a time, but at least you could figure out the logic to the composition. Overall - the worst DVD "set" ever - way to go discovery. ![]() American Hot Rod $50.00 Based upon the Discovery Channel's popular weekly show 'American Hot Road', author and automotive expert William Scheller's "American Hot Rod: The Fine Art Of The Custom Hot Rod" is an informed and informative introduction to the history of hot rods, street rods and custom cars that were painstakingly created and crafted to express both cutting edge automotive development technical skills and expressive artistic and cultural imagination as expressed in design and performance.
