I have followed this game since the first version. The storyline works very well with this game. Ace Combat 4 has the most realistic effects and landscapes. I like the landings on the aircraft carrier better than a runway for refueling and rearmings. The final contest takes a while to figure out, but it's well worth it. It's worth every star it receives.

I love the ace combat series and after playing 4,and 5 ace combat zero is the most action packed and intense flying game for the PS2.Also with a nice soundtrack of 27 songs its the most in any ace combat game to my knoledge.

Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation Bundle (Includes Flightstick)

All the Ace Combat games are similar in play and this one is not much different. What is different, for those of you with big screen TV's, are the graphics for this version. Having played the PS2 Ace Combat, this one blows them away in every aspect. Playing with the the controller is limiting and only so much fun. For those seeking "true" flight simulation, you NEED to pick up this bundle with the joysticks. They joystick and throttle add an entirely new level of playing that is far greater than just flicking your thumb on the controller.

The flightstick will obviously take some time getting used to. With all the switches and buttons on it, you'll need to play it for awhile before you can manipulate the controls without having to look. Once you get there though, the game is awesome.

The only downside is that you might have to be a little careful with the flightstick since it's made of plastic and seems a little dainty. The PC version of this flightstick is metal so I know that's quite durable but this one seems a little iffy. Fortunately, I've had this thing for about 7-8 months and no issues with the flightstick at all.

Yeah this is a little pricey considering you could just as easily go out and buy the game for only $[...] BUT, if you're a true flight sim fan, this is a definite must have.

This is an excellent game for spending some time on. I have played it before on a demo cd long ago so that's why I decided to buy it. It's about passing missions and destroying planes, bases, ships, etc. It find it very fun. The missions happen in different ambiences and time of the day which makes it more interesting. You can get new planes with different attributes according to what you want. A great title for the ps.
