 Oh Blue Christmas $10.18 I listened to the sample of this cd on Amazon after I saw it on sale in the Target flier this morning, and I liked what I heard. I went to Target to purchase it on sale for $6.99. The spot on the shelf was already empty. I asked a clerk for help and he found the last one in the back. I'm so glad I found one, it is a very beautiful cd. These versions of a couple of traditional songs are performed in a slightly different refreshing way. I especially like Blue Christmas. Too bad there are only 6 songs on the album, but it really was worth it - I totally agree with the 2 other reviews. Buy it! The whole cd is great!  One Cell in the Sea $12.98 I read some of the other reviews and I'm happy that some people were able to get something out of this album but somehow, I never could. I listened and listened to the songs thinking, "This has got to be for me because she's recommended based on other female singer-songwriters that I love." However, instead of loving this album, I was bored and frankly, a little irritated by the boredom that insued from listening. Lyrics were dull, music was all the same and I would say to people looking for a good female singer-songwriter try: Brandi Carlile, Regina Spektor, Tori Amos' older stuff, Missy Higgins, and/or the first My Brightest Diamond album. But don't bother with this one, you can do so much better! I really wanted to like this but I really didn't.  Almost Lover (Album Version) $0.99 I had a hard time finding this song elsewhere. I had purchased other songs on Amazon and this one went smooth like the others. |
