I've had this external drive for a couple of months now and I should say that I am quite pleased with the performance and speed of this unit. It is very easy to use and no installation was needed when I first received it; pretty much just unpack, plug-in, and use. There is something that I don't like about this unit which is the clicking sound that it makes from time to time when is in use. Other than the sound which scares me especially when I'm watching a scary movie ;) ... this device has met my needs of storage, and performance.

I have been using the unit for 1 1/2 month and it has been working fine. Only thing I noticed that the game files are not good candidates for this unit. The games pause for a couple of seconds periodically for the duration of the games. That is annoying. This does not happen with USB memory stick or other HDD I have. Besides that it has been working fine with all other type of files. Lots of room for media files, docs, etc.
Hope the unit lasts long. The time will tell.
