 Best Carols 100 $24.98 I agree with the initial reviewer's comments. I've accumulated many exquisite Christmas recordings over the years, some unmatched in their beauty and quality, but this is a gem in its own right. This would make a great addition to any collection, particularly as an introduction to the British choral tradition. There are so many standouts, I wouldn't know where to begin. I highly recommend this CD. The complete offerings are currently on the MP3 download playlist.  100 Best Film Classics $19.98 My interest in classical music has blossomed over the past year or so, and this CD collection is a wonderful addition to my collection. Many of the songs are unrelated to the movies they are listed under, but there are a few of the favorites from the more modern or well known films (Godfather, Lord of the Rings, Gladiator, etc.). The collection is wonderful for the price, 100 beautiful works for $20. The only con I have found is that the recordings were collected, not made for this collection. Some of the quality of the recording was lost, or the orchestration is different for consecutive pieces. Just something an audio geek picks up. Wonderful product overall. |
